We're excited to launch our PTA Sunflower Competition for all pupils!
Each child will receive two “Titan” sunflower seeds to take home. Seeds can be planted indoors in April or May, giving them a good start before being transferred outside in May/June once the weather is warmer. Alternatively seeds can be planted outdoors in April/May.
Over the next few months, look after your sunflower and watch it grow! There will be a prize for the tallest sunflower when we return to school in September after the summer holidays.
Children should measure their sunflower when it has reached its full height and is in flower (this may be during the summer holidays or in early September) and email a photograph showing the sunflower along with its height to: blakedownprimarypta@gmail.com by Friday 4th September.
